Spectra witnessed another successful showing at Packaging of Perfume Cosmetics & Design (PCD), staged at the Porte de Versailles in Paris at the end of January.

Packaging of Perfume Cosmetics & Design (PCD)

Build your packaging in four easy steps.

The prestigious European packaging event, which primarily centres on cosmetics and personal care, proved a hugely successful, record-breaking exhibition compared to previous years. The show boasted high visitor numbers from across Europe and beyond. There were also around 650 exhibitors, as well as buyers and influencers from across the continent.

As Spectra’s ongoing export successes continue to pay dividends, the appearance in the French capital perfectly illustrated just how far the UK based converter has come in cementing its reputation beyond the UK.

Managing Director, Joe Maynard said, “The Paris show always helps us reach out to our growing network of European customers. France benefits from an extremely vibrant personal care market, which continues to be a very important one for us as we look to strengthen our export endeavors”.

The event gave Spectra an opportunity to showcase a range of offerings, including custom tooled projects, innovative decoration and the firm’s extensive range of standard designs. A stand-alone display showing the firms easy to understand four-step ‘Build your Packaging’ message, also helped to explain how off-the-shelf designs can still provide a bespoke look when custom tooling isn’t an option.

Spectra also showed a dedicated display focused on environmental packaging solutions in both post-consumer recycled (PCR) and bioplastics.

Joe went on to add, “Innovation, choice, sustainability and diversity were the key areas we wanted to premier at this show. It was heartening to see visitors to our busy stand buy into what Spectra Packaging is striving to achieve”.

Spectra’s next overseas exhibition appearance will be at Cosmetic Business in Munich in June. Meanwhile, the company will be at Packaging Innovations in Birmingham at the end of February.
