Planning and Logistics
The Planning and Logistics department manages the end-to-end manufacturing workflow, providing accurate lead times and Critical Path Analyses (CPAs) for production across 48 machines in four departments. This planning function works closely with internal teams, liaising across departments to keep all projects on schedule and proactively organising machine time for development and optimisation. The team also handles strategic capacity planning by forecasting future demands to justify new tooling or machinery investments. A core priority is maintaining exceptional On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance by rigorously managing production schedules to meet all customer demands. Finally, the department optimises outbound logistics by consolidating shipments to maximise lorry space, which translates directly into improved transport efficiencies and cost savings, supported by ongoing analysis of transport costs for continuous financial control.
