The new range of 385ml haircare products are totally cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and are 100% against animal testing. In recognition of this commitment, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has awarded Rhyme & Reason ‘cruelty-free brand’ accreditation.
To further illustrate Rhyme & Reason’s ethical stance, the brand is a member of an international movement that donates 1% of its sales each year to environmental causes to help preserve and restore the planet for tomorrow.
Working collaboratively throughout the project, Spectra’s tooling team was presented with a number of technical challenges to ensure the distinctive rectangular pack was commercially functional, according to Dan Smith, Field Sales Representative at Spectra.
Dan said, “The finished packaging perfectly exemplifies our in-house tooling capabilities and shows the fine detail and versatility extrusion blow-moulding can offer. This particular project illustrated how our skilled design and tooling experts can meet the most exacting requirements to achieve stunning results”.
Indeed, the new rectangular Rhyme & Reason pack, boasts a recessed front and raised back panel, engraved branded side panels and precision position closure orientation that enables the closure to open in line with the front panel, all of which required a considerable level of technical attention to detail for Spectra’s team.
As well as pushing the boundaries in custom tooling capabilities, the new packs benefit from the use of 100% recycled HDPE content. Cleverly designed to nestle together to optimise transit packing efficiency, the new bottles also take advantage of a Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) masterbatch colourant for a complete environmental solution.
Dan went on to say, “We have seen a huge uplift in custom tooling projects of late, which is testimony to the skills and expertise of our dedicated in-house design and tooling department. Similarly, the use of post-consumer recycled content is becoming ever more popular with brands seeking environmentally responsible solutions for their products. The new Rhyme & Reason packs show what can be achieved when combining highly technical tooling and sustainability”.
