An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Toolroom Supervisor.
As Toolroom Supervisor you will assist in the organisation and supervision of the manufacture and repair of high-quality tooling and parts within the tool room environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide regular updates to the manager of the toolroom.
- Contribute to the manufacture of tooling the company requires.
- Liaise with other departments offering support and solutions.
- Provide a stable and reliable environment for the toolmakers and apprentices to perform their duties.
- Provide any reports the company may require for continual improvement.
- Assist in the development of new machining techniques. Which may include training courses, supplier visits and attending exhibitions.
- Ensure the team is up to date on current practices and techniques.
- Follow all relevant health and safety requirements.
- Provide relevant training for new toolmakers, machinists, and apprentices.
You will be:
• Experienced within a toolmaking background, with recognised engineering qualifications.
• Ability to supervise and support team members exhibiting strong toolmaking skills, patience and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong positive working relationships.
• Experienced within the plastics industry preferred.
• Ability to manage your own time, plan your own workload and meet set targets and prioritise effectively.
• Proactive in fault diagnosis and problem- solving, using initiative.
• Honest, reliable and accountable.
• Hard-working with a positive ‘can do’attitude.
• Conscientious with a sharp eye for detail and a pride for delivering excellence consistently.
• Able to pick up processes and operations effectively.
• Motivated to learn new skills and keep abreast of industry changes.
• Open to embracing change.
• Health & Safety conscious and willing to lead by example.
