Product Design Apprentice


We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Product Designer who will have the capability to develop into a skilled Designer within our Design department.

Your role will include learning about engineering principles and design methodologies. Being responsible for the creation of 3D models and engineering drawings of plastic packaging products, tooling and mechanical parts using industry-standard 3D CAD software. Analysing and interpreting technical specifications and briefs. Contributing to innovative and problem-solving activities through the application of theoretical knowledge. The role also involves liaising with multiple departments throughout the process, including other engineers and technicians ensuring successful project execution.

 You will be working as part of a team, providing support whilst learning on the job.  The successful candidates will develop the required skills through expert training and academic studies.

You will complete an Engineering Technician – Product Design & Development Level 3 standard apprenticeship at one of our preferred training providers.

The role would suit a self-motivated individual, who has the aptitude to work on their own initiative and the ability to take on new challenges.  You should demonstrate excellent communication skills to liaise effectively at all levels, be a proven team player and a sharp eye for detail to deliver quality work. 

You must have the ability the travel to work and college by either private or public transport.
