Injection Moulding Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Injection Moulding Technician to work on a three-shift rotation basis – 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the shift team on a day-to-day basis whilst following company procedures and ensuring compliance with the quality standards set.

You will ensure that optimum processes are established and maintained whilst being able to demonstrate high levels of technical competence. This is an exciting and versatile role within the department.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned tool and colour changes on injection moulding and assembly machines.

• Fault finding and making process adjustments as and when required to ensure components are within set specifications.

• Carry out QC checks, analysing visual and functional specifications in accordance with internal procedures.

• Helping to keep machines running efficiently and effectively.

• Packing and palletisation of finished goods.

• Ensure work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe throughout your shift.

• Ensure that all documentation relating to production is completed correctly.

• Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures, particularly but not exclusively in regard to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment Management.

You will be:

  • Experienced within an engineering or mechanical background.  (Experience within the plastics industry in a similar role is desirable although not essential as training will be given).
  • An excellent team player with effective interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with others.
  • Able to pick up processes and operations effectively.
  • Honest, reliable and accountable.
  • Hard-working with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Conscientious with a sharp eye for detail and a pride for delivering excellence consistently.
