Spectra see rise in demand for standard closures
Spectra has witnessed an increase in injection moulding projects as customers look for a complete packaging solution for their products.
As the company continues to develop an extensive range of standard closures that offer a genuine choice, they have seen a surge in customers wishing to complement their bottles with their closures.
Jonathan Powell, Sales Director at Spectra pointed out the benefits of combining Spectra’s caps with their containers.
“Trust can be a key driver when selecting a cap supplier for your bottle and our customers are reassured that our closures fit our packs perfectly - our rigorous quality control and leak testing procedures offer that peace of mind”.
He added, “Brand's also value our market knowledge and appreciate the guidance and technical assistance we provide on a number of closure issues, from design and materials to advise on the most appropriate components for particular types of bottle”.
Another overriding benefit of choosing Spectra’s closures is they can be provided in custom colours in small lots, as low as 5,000 pieces. This is perfect for brands wishing to order lower MOQ’s and is something rarely possible with other suppliers. The opportunity to custom colour components, particularly disc tops, where disc and body elements can be dual coloured, is seen as a huge bonus for many customers.
Flexibility centered around customer requirements is hugely important to Spectra, as is quality, which is why the company choose to bore seal their caps for optimum performance and reliability as opposed to conventional sealing technologies.
Jonathan views Spectra’s single source supplier offering as another big advantage too, adding, “Being able to order from one supplier offers a stress-free alternative to using separate providers, which can often result in fragmented and elongated lead times. Our customers like the fact that we can offer an “all-in-one” service for their bottles and caps".
Spectra’s range has grown to include an impressive number of closures designed to give customers flexible options without the need for custom tooling.
These include tall radiused, shallow and double wall caps, flip top, disc top and flared disc top options as well as a range of overcaps available in gloss or matt finishes. The range was also recently bolstered by Spectra’s latest 24/410 disc top closure (Ref: 3033), with the company making provision for new designs in the future.
