With more and more brands seeking a stress-free complete packaging solution, Spectra continue to see a rise in customers taking advantage of their 'single source supplier' service for both bottles and closures.

The benefits of using one dedicated supplier offer several key benefits, according to Jonathan Powell, Spectra's Sales Director.

He said "We have found that trust can be an essential driver when choosing a cap supplier for a bottle. Customers need reassuring that a closure is going to fit that container without any potential issues. Because we manufacture everything in-house with stringent quality control procedures, we can confidently provide that peace of mind".

Spectra have also found that brand's value their market knowledge,  recognising the guidance and technical assistance they provide when combining a bottle and closure. This specialist knowledge incorporates anything from design and material expertise to advice on the most appropriate components for a particular type of container.

Flexible minimum order quantities

Another dominant benefit of choosing a Spectra closure is the company's flexible ability to provide their injection moulded components in any colour in small lots, as low as 5,000 pieces.

Applicable to bottle orders as well, the added flexibility of low MOQs is something many Spectra competitors cannot easily offer.

Perfect for smaller brands wishing to control stock and keep costs to a minimum, this added additional benefit is also ideal for larger brands looking to launch and trial new lines or diversifying products onto the market before committing to mass production.

Conversely, the chance to custom colour components, particularly disc tops, where disc and body elements can be dual coloured, is also seen as a significant bonus for many Spectra customers.

Quality and reliability

Flexibility focused around customer requirements is essential to Spectra, as is quality. Its why the company has chosen to bore seal their closures over conventional platform sealing technologies to maintain optimum performance and reliability.

Jonathan went on to add, "The opportunity to order from one supplier can offer a stress-free alternative to using separate providers, which can often result in fragmented and elongated lead times and unnecessary transport costs".

Spectra's standard range of closures continues to swell and includes an impressive number of closures designed to give customers flexible options without the need for a custom tool.

These include tall radiused, shallow and double wall caps, flip top, standard and flared disc top options as well as a range of overcaps available in gloss or matt finishes.

The range has also recently been bolstered by Spectra's new 24/410 double wall flip-top disc top closure (Ref: 3038), with the company making provision for new designs in the future.
