Investing for Success
Substantial continuing investment is being made in the latest production machinery to ensure a responsive and efficient service to customers. As such Spectra Packaging is at the very edge of the latest technology. Our machinery is cabable of the following:
Extrusion Blow Moulding
Our production line of 0.5 litre 2 x 1 machines customised to our requirements are all standardised to give maximum manufacturing flexibility. Machines are all electric, eliminating the risk of oil contamination. Plant currently installed and on order will give Spectra a capacity of 40 million units per annum.
Sizes 25 - 500 ml can be produced in HDPE, PP, PVC and PETG. A growing range of standard shapes/designs are offered with an in-house tooling capability for custom designs.
Co-Extrusion to produce 2-layer packs will be available soon.
Injection Stretch Blow Moulding
A new production line of injection stretch blow moulding machines was installed in the summer of 2008. These standardised machines will mould PET in sizes from 25 - 500 ml. PET gives near-glass clarity and high strength for improved product presentation and is also more readily recycled.
As with our blow moulding containers we are able to offer a range of standard shapes and designs as well as having the capability to produce custom moulds.
Injection Moulding
To complement their standard range of containers, Spectra also supplies innovative quality closures which provide their customers with that total packaging solution.
The range is continuously under review. New products are added regularly as developed by our designers in response to customer demand. In addition we can manage the production of custom designs efficiently, economically and in confidence.
